What you need to start
A VPS, a brokerage account, a deposit and some time. What to prepare in advance — and what to hold off on until the broker is chosen.
The hands-on work takes a few hours; on the calendar the launch can stretch over several days due to broker verification and the staged condition checks. Below is everything you will need. Note that not all of it should be bought in advance — the order matters.
Windows VPS
The engine runs around the clock and is latency-sensitive, so a home computer is not an option: reboots, dropped connections and the distance to broker servers eat the edge. You need a rented Windows server (VPS) that never switches off.
Brokerage account
Not every broker fits: execution speed, spreads, commissions and the attitude towards automated trading all matter. The list of verified options and the account type are discussed in the private channel after purchase. If you already have an account, support will help assess its suitability; no need to open a new one upfront.
Deposit
There is no formal minimum — lot sizes scale. The main rule: don't put in a large amount upfront. Work starts with test-sized sums, and the deposit grows in stages — only after the conditions are confirmed and withdrawals go through. The step-by-step scheme is in the owners' chapters.
Time
- Installation and activation — 20–30 minutes.
- Broker selection and account opening — from an hour to a couple of days (depends on the broker's verification).
- Verifying the conditions — from an evening to a few days, in stages.
- Initial configuration following the handbook and the test launch — about an hour.
